The STEM Opportunity Index (SOI), a NMSI-led, open-source, collaborative resource, is a multi-layered map showing how states and schools perform in 10 categories critical to identifying successful STEM education delivery. Currently, the SOI lacks information on the STEM Education Pipeline: efforts and opportunities that bridge the gap between and beyond Prek-12 education, post-secondary education, and career. This team will identify and add STEM Education Pipeline layers to the SOI (i.e. AP, CTE, dual credit programs, colleges, careers, ecosystems, STEM centers, etc.). The resulting, further-layered map will be available for public use and by all collaborators in their communities.
