100Kin10 Project Team: Rethinking Intro to Education through a Racial Equity and Justice Lens (2021-2022)

Many programs exist to actively recruit STEM students of color into education, but they cannot achieve the scale needed to make a real impact. This project came together to explore how redesigning introductory education courses from being a traditional class about pedagogy and learning to one on the history of schooling through a racial equity and justice lens could appeal to a broader audience and bring more students of color into the teaching field. 

The team searched for introductory courses that take this approach, requested enrollment data from those courses, and created a recommended course syllabus to share with the broader community.
