By 2021, we will...
Train 400 teachers & 50 administrators to develop and execute effective STEM curriculum in their schools and districts with a focus on creating lesson plans that help students, not only immerse themselves in hands-on activities, but also prepare themselves for real-world design challenges and become more computer literate.
Is there anything else you intend to do to maximize your impact via the network?
Focus on helping school leaders understand that learning does not have to occur in the same 45 minute blocks that we've been bound to for many years. Successful leaders and teachers can challenge the status quo of being focused on the "bell" and restructure students' time and expand teachers' capacity by allowing more time for teachers to collaborate during the school week, find effective professional development opportunities by partnering with organizations that are focused on training, retaining and expanding a teacher's knowledge of STEM.
