Have worked with approximately 50 Navajo Nation teachers through the DINÉ Institute at NAU to learn to use culturally-relevant teaching strategies in STEM instruction.

Have recruited and graduated 60 - 100 new STEM teachers by providing the AZ Teachers Academy Scholarship that pays for all tuition and expenses related to the completion of the teacher education degree.

Have provided high quality professional development in STEM to 100 - 150 PK-12 in-service teachers through CSTL's professional development programs.

Coordinate our efforts with the AZ Teachers Academy at NAU to ensure that all STEM majors are informed of the Teachers Academy Scholarship and encouraged to consider STEM teaching as a attractive career choice.

Challenges this organization is addressing:

• the number of high-quality PD opportunities for STEM teachers
• scholarships or loan forgiveness for STEM majors who become teachers
• pre-service training for STEM teachers on culturally-relevant strategies
