By 2021, we will...

Drexel University's School of Education will have: 1) Produced 40 STEM teachers via our Teacher Residency Program in Grades 4-8 Math or Science or Grades 7-12 (e.g., Biology, Chemistry, Earth & Space Science, General Science, Mathematics or Physics); 2) Produced 55 STEM teachers via our Undergraduate program; 3) Produced 70 STEM teachers via our Graduate program (non-Teacher Residency); and 4) Produced 10 STEM teachers via our alternative, undergraduate teacher certification pathways for non-Education majors.

In addition, Drexel will have provided professional development opportunities for implementing and assessing High Leverage Practices to 15 school leaders and 40 Mentor teachers in Philadelphia urban schools.

Is there anything else you intend to do to maximize your impact via the network?

Continue partnering with area school leadership and teachers to better field placement, while engaging in formative external and self-assessments and feedback to better the programs, increase diversity in STEM education within the Philadelphia region. We will use the resources of all our external partners including NCTR, TeachingWorks, TNTP and the School District of Philadelphia.
