Engage 100 urban and rural educators in STEM education, focusing on foundational math. Teachers and pre-service teachers will collaborate to create STEM activities which integrate Science, Technology, Engineering and Math. We will coordinate efforts with the Intermediate Unit and implement Google Classroom tools in the design and implementation of this work.

Is there anything else you intend to do to maximize your impact via the network?

Bring cooperating teachers, administrators, EUP students, EUP faculty and IU staff together to experience STEM prior to developing a STEM lesson that will be implemented during the field experience. Google Classroom will be used as a means for sharing ideas. We intend to look for additional monies to fund the STEM materials and perhaps provide a modest stipend for the cooperating teachers.

Challenges this organization is addressing:

• collaboration between local districts and teacher prep programs
• schools using integrated STEM instructional models
• PD opportunities for STEM mentor teachers
