By 2021, we will...

Ensure that 75% of our programs meet their impact goals for recruiting STEM teachers by supporting them to improve recruitment strategies and implementation. By improving their data tracking systems, building partnership among key stakeholders, and implementing best practices in recruitment, particularly for teachers of color, these programs will be able to help meet the needs of their local communities.

Ensure that at least 50% of our partner programs will report improvement in STEM resident readiness and effectiveness, as measured by mentor and resident perception data. By building programming around improving resident assessment systems focused on alignment and consistent quality of feedback, programs will prepare teachers who are prepared to meet the diverse learning needs of their students.

Is there anything else you intend to do to maximize your impact via the network?

Working with a targeted group of innovative programs to document and share learnings around best practices in recruitment and retention, especially of Black educators.

Convene members and facilitate peer learning opportunities within and outside of our NCTR Network to build strategies and share best practices for teacher preparation program implementation towards goals.
