By 2021, we will...
Use the Design, Make, Play STEM Institute to support 6,000 teachers in infusing their classes with hands-on design based learning activities, scientific inquiry, high-quality STEM content, science communication and literacy to strengthen, inspire and excite STEM teaching and learning.Engage 2,800 local families in STEM activities that increase awareness (through Science Ambassador afterschool programs; outreach activities at community events, and school STEM nights; large-scale community events at NYSCI; Parent programs and workshops; and community events presented through our work with locaL schools).
Is there anything else you intend to do to maximize your impact via the network?
Partner with schools and peer organizations to collaborate on projects designed to respond to individual school and district needs, and extend our reach through digital tools and resources.Collaborate with key stakeholders from local schools to build more impactful and accessible family engagement programming, and think about developing and implementing new evaluation processes with which to measure our work.
