We know that reaching our shared goal of ensuring all students have excellent STEM teachers requires working on different issues in new ways. Recognizing this, we intend to stay on track (and work to exceed) our original goal of producing 950 total teachers, of which 165 will be high quality secondary mathematics and science teachers equipped to serve the very diverse needs of Texas K-12 students.

Challenges this organization is addressing:

• collaboration between local districts and teacher prep programs
• collaboration between education and STEM departments in teacher preparation
• high admissions standards for teacher prep programs
