By 2021, we will...

Train more than 300 pre-service and in-service teachers in early childhood STEM, NGSS, climate science and resilience. We will engage the parents of thousands of students in supporting their children's learning through family activities at the Aquarium. We will produce new standards-based curriculum for CT teachers to engage their students in the history, ecology and preservation of local rivers.

Is there anything else you intend to do to maximize your impact via the network?

Engage with schools of education to support pre-service training of 300 STEM teachers through experiences at the aquarium and aboard our research vessel. We will provide faculty and teachers with models for integrating field trips and aquarium programs into their curriculum. We will provide in-school and afterschool STEM opportunities for high school students to support state course requirements.
