Recruit and certify 100 Texas educators in high school computer science.

Recruit and help certify 50 educators outside of Texas in computer science.

Train 100 educators and administrators in strategies for broadening participation in computer science.

Is there anything else you intend to do to maximize your impact via the network?

To support 100 new CS teachers in Texas, we intend to leverage corporate, philanthropic, and grant funding to provide bonuses to teachers to add a CS certification and underwrite the cost of professional development necessary to upskill current teachers in CS.

To expand our highly effective WeTeach_CS certification prep to other states, we intend to partner with CS education leaders in universities, districts, state agencies, industry and non-profits who are working to build capacity in their states to launch CS Collaboratives around the country.

To help 100 educators understand how to broaden participation in CS (BPC), we intend to provide at least 8 in-person administrator and counselor workshops across Texas focused on data and research-based strategies for BPC and support at least 5 cohorts of teachers in partnership with CS ed leaders nationally to complete our online Strategies for Effective and Inclusive CS teaching course.
