Reach our shared goal of increasing the number of families that are aware of the importance of science, technology, and engineering skills in the current and future job market requires working this issue in new ways. We intend to continue to expand our iMAGINE STEAM festivals to mid-sized towns that anchor rural communities.
Reach our shared goal of providing opportunities for 1000 PK-12 STEM teachers to collaborate with STEM experts requires more than our internal expertise. We intend to include external STEM experts from the SC STEM workforce, with special emphasis on Million Women Mentor partners, when relevant to our professional development offerings.
Reach our shared goal of engaging 100 key thought and action leaders in activities that increase perception of PK-12 STEM teaching as a STEM job requires breaking barriers between education and workforce focused communities. We intend to focus our initial efforts identifying and honoring STEM Educators from across the state.
