Teacher Residency/Alternative Pathway
EnCorps STEM Teachers Program
Los Angeles, CA
By 2021, we will...
Recruit, prepare and support 200 STEM professionals as they transition into STEM teaching in high-need schools by July 2021. Enduring STEM achievement gaps disproportionately limit opportunities for low income students and students of color. STEM professionals, when guided, are uniquely positioned to utilize their real-world expertise to deliver an authentic and relevant education to students who can benefit most.Is there anything else you intend to do to maximize your impact via the network?
Look for collaborations with diverse partners. We are dedicated in our mission to recruit, prepare and support qualified and committed STEM professionals into teaching. We know we cannot do this alone. We are looking for equally committed partners to help us best prepare our Fellows for an impactful and rewarding teaching experience.Challenges this organization is addressing:
