Challenge Description: Teachers often lack pre-service preparation to design and deliver active STEM learning experiences for their students. Active STEM learning experiences are those that enable students to construct their own understanding; build on the ideas, experiences, and questions that students bring to the classroom; are grounded in real-world problems; and engage students in hands-on and collaborative learning.
